Closing Thoughts

Working on the “EverFit” project was a rewarding experience that reinforced the importance of user-centred design, especially when addressing the needs of older adults. The challenges and insights gained throughout the project have greatly contributed to my growth as a designer, and I’m proud of this solution's impact on improving users’ lives.

They specialize in creating accessible technology solutions that encourage seniors to stay active and healthy. With a focus on simplicity and user-friendliness, their mission is to make fitness easy and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age or physical ability.

The Challenge

“EverFit,” was facing a significant challenge: older adults were struggling to stay physically active due to physical limitations and the complexity of existing fitness apps. The client’s goal was to develop a simple and effective app that could help seniors maintain their fitness with ease. They realized that the available solutions were not adequately meeting the needs of this age group, so they needed to create a product that prioritized ease of use and adaptability to the specific needs of older adults.

The Solution

I conducted interviews and surveys with older adults to understand their needs. They preferred straightforward technology and adaptable exercises. These insights guided my design decisions.

    Safety Tips

Start with feet shoulder width apart and abs in for a strong base.

Pushing beyond your limits can strain your muscles, joints, and overall physical well-being. If you experience any warning signals, pause, and take a break.

If you have a chronic condition, please consult with your health care professional to determine whether your conditions limit your ability to do regular physical activity safely.

    Balance Benefits

Improving your balance can significantly reduce the risk of injury, such as bone fractures, if a fall does occur.

Balance exercises target the muscles in the legs, core, and lower body, leading to increased strength and coordination.
